Allegri Vows to Bring Attacking Football to Juventus

Massimiliano Allegri, the new manager of Juventus, has vowed to bring attacking football back to the Italian giants. In a recent press conference, he made it clear that he wants his teams to be both defensively sound and offensively creative. “I don’t want a 1-0 Juve. It pisses me off that you say that. I never wanted my teams to win 1-0. That's wrong, totally inaccurate," said Allegri. "My teams have always been the best attacks and defences. What do I have to tell you? Who wants 1-0?” Allegri is no stranger to success in Serie A, having led AC Milan and Fiorentina before taking over at Juventus this summer. His style of play has always been attacking and expansive, with an emphasis on keeping possession and creating chances for his strikers. He also likes his sides to press high up the pitch when out of possession, which should make for some exciting games at the Allianz Stadium this season. The Bianconeri faithful will be hoping that Allegri can bring back some of the glory days from their past when they were known as one of Europe's most feared attacking forces under Antonio Conte and Carlo Ancelotti. With stars such as Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain leading the line for Juve this season, there is certainly plenty of potential for them to become a dominant force once again in Italy and beyond under Allegri's stewardship. The club have already made several big signings this summer including Emre Can from Liverpool and Joao Cancelo from Valencia - two players who could add even more quality going forward if they are used correctly by their new manager. With such talent at his disposal it seems likely that Allegri will be able to bring some attractive football back to Turin in 2018/19 - something which all Juve fans will surely welcome with open arms!
