Georgia Dominates TCU in Historic Victory

The University of Georgia Bulldogs defeated TCU 65-7 on Saturday, setting records with their 58-point margin of victory being the biggest ever against a team ranked in the AP top four, 10 more than Army's 48-0 win over Notre Dame in 1945; it is also tied for most points scored against a team ranked in the AP top four.

In a historic victory, the University of Georgia Bulldogs crushed the TCU Horned Frogs 65-7 on Saturday. The 58-point margin of victory was the biggest ever against a team ranked in the AP top four, 10 more than Army's 48-0 win over Notre Dame in 1945. It is also tied for the most points scored against a team ranked in the AP top four. The Bulldogs were led by quarterback Jake Fromm who threw for three touchdowns and ran for another. He was supported by running back D'Andre Swift who rushed for two touchdowns and wide receiver Mecole Hardman who caught two touchdown passes. On defense, safety Richard LeCounte recorded an interception and linebacker Monty Rice had two sacks to help secure the win. The victory was especially impressive given that it came against a TCU team that entered with a No. 4 ranking in the Associated Press poll and had only lost one game this season prior to Saturday's matchup. This performance has solidified Georgia as one of college football's elite teams and has set them up nicely heading into their next game against Auburn on November 10th. This is not only an impressive feat for Georgia but also serves as an important reminder that rankings don't always tell us everything about how good a team is or how they will perform on any given day. The Bulldogs proved that they are capable of dominating even highly ranked opponents, setting them up well for future matchups throughout this season and beyond.
