Katy Perry Praises Rihanna's Super Bowl Performance

It was a night to remember at the Super Bowl this past Sunday, with pop star Katy Perry delivering an electrifying performance that had everyone on their feet. But before she took the stage, it seems she received some words of encouragement from her friend Rihanna. During an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Perry revealed that her pal Rihanna had called her up prior to the show and asked for advice about performing at the big game. "She doesn't need any advice," Perry said with a smile. "She's Rihanna." The two singers have been friends for years, and their bond is only getting stronger. They recently collaborated on a song together titled “Sledgehammer” for the movie Star Trek Beyond. Perry also praised Rihanna's own performance during halftime of last year's Super Bowl. She said that watching it made her realize how much work goes into putting on such a huge show and gave her inspiration to make sure hers was just as good if not better. Perry certainly did not disappoint, delivering one of the most memorable performances in recent memory complete with fireworks, lasers and even dancing sharks! The crowd went wild as she sang hits like “Firework” and “California Gurls” while soaring through the air on a giant metallic lion head. Rihanna may not have needed any advice from Perry but it's clear that their friendship is strong enough to support each other no matter what they're doing or where they are in life.
