Santos FC Moves Match to Vila Belmiro for Safety Reasons

Santos FC announced that, due to safety concerns, the Police Military has determined that the match against São Bento, for the Paulista Championship, which was scheduled to take place at Canindé Stadium, will now be held at Urbano Caldeira Stadium in Vila Belmiro at 9:35 pm. The move comes as a result of increased security measures taken by Santos FC in order to ensure that all fans are safe and secure during the match. The club has also implemented additional safety protocols such as metal detectors and additional police presence around the stadium. Santos FC President Jose Carlos Peres expressed his gratitude towards the Police Military for their assistance in ensuring fan safety. “We are grateful for the help of our local law enforcement agencies in making sure our fans can enjoy a safe and secure match," said Peres.
