A Homeowner's Pride

This poem explores how cats manifest their true ownership over their homes through their behavior - from strutting around proudly to purring contentedly - making it clear that they are truly kings or queens of their domains!

An image depicting a cat sitting atop furniture looking proud with its tail held high as if it were king or queen of its domain.

He struts around the house, with pride in his stride, His tail held high, a confident gleam in his eyes. He knows he is king of this home and all within, And it’s clear that he wants us to know where we’ve been. He perches atop furniture, surveying the space, A regal figure who’s never out of place. The sofa is his throne and he sits like a lord, No one can deny that he owns this abode. He rubs against our legs as if to remind us all, That we are guests here in his homely hall. It's not a matter of favor or luck you see; We live here by his grace and benevolence. His purrs are gentle reminders of our place in this domain; We should be thankful for being allowed to remain! He follows us around the house with an air of contentment; He's always there when we need him for reassurance and comfort. His meows echo through the halls like a proclamation; He's telling us loud and clear who holds true ownership! So while we may think ourselves masters of this place; The truth is obvious when you look into his face. Que o gato é o verdadeiro dono da casa e te deixa morar lá de favor- That cat is truly master of this house and lets you stay there out of kindness- This fact cannot be denied by anyone who sees how he acts towards us each day!
