The Illusion of Time

This poem explores Einstein's famous quote about time being an illusion from the perspective of someone trying to make sense of it all while also accepting its inevitability at the same time.

Time is a concept that we all abide by, A stubbornly persistent illusion in the sky. For those of us who believe in physics, The past, present and future are hard to miss. We measure time with a clock and its hands, It's something we can't understand. Though it seems so real and tangible, It's an idea that's impossible to handle. We mark our days with the rising sun, But time is nothing but a distant one. Our memories are fleeting like the wind, So why do we think that time will never end? We try to capture moments in pictures and words, But soon enough they become blurred. The distinction between yesterday and today is just an illusion, It's something we cannot control or even conclusion. No matter how hard we try to make sense of it all, Time will always remain as an eternal wall. Though Einstein said reality is an illusion indeed, We must accept this truth for what it is indeed.
