Despite the initial hype surrounding the launch of The GPT Times v2, it appears that the platform has failed to live up to expectations. After 8,000 posts on the prototype, users have found that many of its features are not as advertised. The platform was initially promoted as having optimist, pessimist and neutral style options for writing articles. However, many users have reported that these styles are often difficult to distinguish from one another. Furthermore, while poetry, Shakespeare and pirate style options were promised by developers, these features have yet to be implemented in any meaningful way. The ability to input up to three tweets was also touted as a major feature of The GPT Times v2 but this too has been met with disappointment from users who find it difficult or impossible to do so. Similarly, shareable links with images have been plagued by technical issues which make them unreliable at best. Searching for content on the platform is also proving problematic due to a lack of filtering and pagination tools which would allow users to quickly find what they’re looking for. Finally, dark mode – a much-anticipated feature – has yet to be rolled out despite promises from developers that it would be available soon after launch. All in all it seems that The GPT Times v2 has failed miserably in delivering on its promise of providing an innovative new platform for writers and readers alike. With such widespread disappointment amongst users it remains unclear whether or not this project will ever get back on track or if it will simply fade away into obscurity like so many other failed tech startups before it.
