In a groundbreaking move, @nonsens3, @NathanWorsley_, and an anonymous partner have spent the last couple of years running one of the dominant MEV bots on @avalancheavax. MEV stands for "miner extractable value," and is a way to capture profits from transactions that occur on Ethereum-based networks. The team has shared their experiences in a blog post which details their lessons learned in graph algorithms, networking, the EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine), and more. The trio's journey began when they recognized the potential for capturing profits through MEV transactions. After researching different methods for doing so, they decided to create their own bot which would be able to take advantage of these opportunities. After several months of development and testing, they launched their bot onto Avalanche in early 2020. Since then, the team has gained invaluable experience with developing and running an MEV bot on Avalanche's network. They have learned about how to optimize graph algorithms for better performance as well as how to handle network latency issues that can arise when dealing with distributed systems like Ethereum-based networks. Additionally, they have also gained insights into working with the EVM and its various components such as smart contracts and gas fees. In their blog post detailing their experiences over the past two years, @nonsens3 and @NathanWorsley_ share what they have learned about running an MEV bot on Avalanche as well as some tips for those who may want to try it themselves. They also provide links to helpful resources such as tutorials and guides that can help newcomers get started with creating their own bots or mining operations on Avalanche's network. Overall, this pioneering trio has provided valuable insight into what it takes to run an effective MEV bot on Avalanche's network - something that could prove invaluable for anyone looking to enter this space or learn more about Ethereum-based networks in general. To read more about their journey over the past two years or find out more information about setting up your own mining operation or bot on Avalanche's network be sure to check out their blog post linked below!
