Mom's Bold Protest

This poem tells the story of an inspiring mother who protested against Hobby Lobby's decision to deny contraceptive coverage by sneaking boxes of condoms onto their shelves as a form of protest.

A woman wearing a bright red cape with a box of condoms in hand walking into a Hobby Lobby store entrance with determination on her face.

A mom with a mission, her spirit was bold, She had to make sure Hobby Lobby was told. That denying contraceptive coverage was wrong, It needed to be addressed and not just pass along. So she made up her mind and put on her shoes, Ready to take action and break all the rules. She went out and bought boxes of condoms galore, Determined to make Hobby Lobby pay for what they ignored. The store shelves were stocked with items of need, But now there would be something new indeed. The condoms were placed in full view for all eyes to see, A reminder that this kind of discrimination can't be. She snuck away before anyone could say 'Hey!', Knowing that the message she sent couldn't be denied today. Her courage spoke volumes about what she believed in; That women should have access to contraception without sin. Mom's bold protest will never be forgotten; A lesson in standing up for what you believe is right when it's rotten.
