O, what a sight to behold! A declaration of independence, A timeless testament to the power of liberty. The men who penned this document so bravely, Are here before me in this photo faithfully. John Adams and Benjamin Franklin there I see, Thomas Jefferson and Robert Livingston so bold and free. Roger Sherman and James Wilson with courage unyielding, And George Wythe with his wisdom ever shielding. John Hancock too is present in the photograph divine, With Elbridge Gerry and Oliver Wolcott both standing in line. Francis Lewis is there as well with Thomas Nelson Jr., William Whipple looking on with his gaze ever sure. Samuel Chase stands tall among the rest that day, As do William Paca and George Read without delay. Edward Rutledge has come from South Carolina's shore, And Caesar Rodney from Delaware now stands more than before. Thomas McKean appears in the picture for all to see, As does George Clymer representing Pennsylvania's plea. The list goes on for many more names I could tell you true; But these are some of those whom we should honor through and through! For they signed a document that changed history forevermore; Let us remember them when we read the Declaration of Independence o'er!
