Local Student Raises Over $10,000 for Homeless Shelter

A local high school student has recently raised over $10,000 for a homeless shelter in her community. The student, 15-year-old Sarah Smith, began the fundraising campaign as part of a school project and was surprised to find that it quickly gained traction in the community. The project started out as an assignment from Sarah’s English teacher, who asked students to come up with creative ways to help their communities.
