In a major announcement today, the President of the United States declared that it is time to start fixing our nation’s infrastructure. The plan includes utilizing American workers and products made in America for the overhaul. This means better roads, bridges, and rail for citizens across the country as well as providing good jobs for many people. The President noted that this project has been long overdue and will provide much needed relief to areas of the country that have been neglected for too long. He said, “It’s about better roads, bridges, and rail. It’s about good jobs. And folks, it’s about damn time we’re doing it!” The plan calls for an investment of $2 trillion over four years in order to improve infrastructure nationwide. This money will be used to repair existing roads and bridges as well as build new ones in areas where they are needed most. It will also fund projects such as upgrading public transportation systems including trains and buses so that more people can access them easily and safely. In addition to improving existing infrastructure, this plan also focuses on creating jobs by using American workers instead of outsourcing labor from other countries. This means more job opportunities for Americans who may not have had them before due to outsourcing or automation taking away their positions in certain industries. The President is confident that this plan will help create a stronger economy by providing more jobs which leads to increased spending power among citizens which helps stimulate economic growth overall. He believes that investing in our nation’s infrastructure now will pay off big time down the road when we reap all of its benefits such as improved quality of life due to better transportation options or fewer traffic jams due to smoother roads or safer bridges etc… This is an exciting time for our nation because finally we are getting around to fixing something that has been neglected far too long – our infrastructure! We can look forward to a brighter future with better roads, bridges, rail systems, public transportation options – all while supporting American workers at home!
