Tragedy in Nepal as Passenger Plane Crashes, Killing 35

A passenger plane crashed in Kathmandu, Nepal on Monday, killing at least 35 people. The plane was carrying more than 70 passengers and crew members when it went down shortly after takeoff. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Witnesses reported seeing the plane veer off course before crashing into a nearby field. Emergency responders rushed to the scene to provide aid to survivors, but most of those onboard were killed instantly. This is not the first aviation disaster to occur in Nepal this year. In March, another passenger plane crashed near Pokhara, killing all seven people onboard. The two crashes have raised questions about the safety of air travel in Nepal and whether or not proper safety protocols are being followed by airlines operating there. The Nepalese government has promised a thorough investigation into both incidents and has vowed to take action if any negligence is found on behalf of airline operators or other authorities responsible for overseeing air travel in the country.
