Assume Less, Be Open to Different Perspectives More

Oh how I long for the days of old, when minds were open and assumptions few. When people would come together to learn and grow, with respect and understanding true. The world has changed since then, so much is clear; assumptions are made more than ever before. For knowledge we seek but never find; our minds are closed as if locked behind a door. We must be open to what others have to say; our perspectives may be wrong in some way. To learn from each other is what we must do; assume less and be open more is my plea to you. Let us all put aside our own views and beliefs; accept that there's more than one way to achieve relief. For knowledge comes from learning different things; it can't come from just one set of wings. So take a step back and listen with care; don't assume you know everything out there! Let us think beyond ourselves for once or twice; let us be humble enough for advice! Be willing to try something new today, it could lead you down an unexpected way! If we keep assuming the same thing over again, progress will not happen 'til who knows when? It's time that we stop this cycle of thinking small; it's time that we start listening to all! Assume less and open your mind up wide; new perspectives will help make things right!
